Key Responsibilities:
- Defining Strategy: Lead efforts to define the strategy for next-generation microelectronics technologies for US defense systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key defense community stakeholders to identify advanced microelectronics technologies that meet the current and future needs of the defense industry.
- Partnership Development: Identify promising industry partners and collaborate with them to craft business strategies for engagement and usage of cutting-edge microelectronics capabilities.
- Technical Assessments: Perform technical evaluations of microelectronics technologies and recommend strategic approaches to enhance defense capabilities.
- Reporting & Recommendations: Develop technology trends, assessments, and reports to guide key decisions regarding microelectronics strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Microelectronics Expertise: Experience supporting defense stakeholders in the utilization of microelectronics technologies and devices.
- Semiconductor Knowledge: Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication technologies, trusted and state-of-the-art processes, and respective vendors.
- Defense Microelectronics Requirements: Knowledge of defense and government microelectronics needs, trends, and stakeholders’ roles and objectives in the microelectronics domain.
- Technical Assessment Skills: Ability to assess current and future microelectronics technologies and deliver insightful reports.
- Strategy Development: Craft effective strategies for microelectronics access that meet the needs of multiple agencies and stakeholders.
- Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for a Secret security clearance.
Additional Qualifications:
- Technical Support for DoD Programs: Experience providing technical support on high-risk, high-reward projects within the microelectronics domain.
- Advanced Degrees: A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Top Secret Clearance: TS/SCI clearance is a plus.
