Salary Range: $84,600 – $193,000 Annually (Varies based on Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- International Partnership Development: Lead the development and support of international partnerships, engaging with global counterparts to achieve DoD mission objectives. Organize and participate in various engagement activities to further international collaboration.
- Strategic Guidance to Leadership: Provide senior government leadership with recommendations on international partnership processes, offering insights on how to optimize efficiencies and implement changes to improve operational effectiveness and new product offerings.
- Policy and Process Optimization: Support the continuous improvement of partnership processes, helping to implement changes that enhance the efficiency of international collaborations.
- Analysis & Reporting: Draft decision memos, briefing papers, and policy analysis reports related to international engagement for senior leadership. Provide written reports on significant developments and share updates with relevant DoD and interagency colleagues.
- Support for Cyberspace Security: Provide support in areas related to cyberspace security, strategy, policy, and force development as they relate to international partnerships. Monitor developments in cyberspace security to ensure alignment with DoD goals.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following basic requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in developing and supporting International Partner Support SME, particularly in a defense or cybersecurity context.
- Proven experience organizing and leading engagement activities to advance DoD goals for international partners.
- Ability to coordinate and recommend process changes to optimize international partnership efficiency and effectiveness.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Security Studies, Political Science).
Additional Skills (Nice-to-Have):
- Action Officer Experience: Experience serving as an action officer for a specified region, particularly in cyberspace security, strategy, policy, and force development.
- Drafting Expertise: Experience drafting decision memos and briefing papers for interagency and international meetings, briefing senior leaders.
- Policy Research: Knowledge of policy changes impacting DoD international engagements and the ability to research, analyze, and recommend improvements.
