Key Responsibilities:
- Security Planning & Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement security plans for SAP (Special Access Program) or SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) environments, ensuring the protection of critical program data throughout its lifecycle.
- Program Protection Plans: Lead the development and review of Program Protection Specialist Plans (PPP), Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and OPSEC plans to safeguard information.
- SME Collaboration: Work closely with operational and security SMEs to evaluate and assess program risks, vulnerabilities, and threats across personnel, technology, and environment.
- Client Guidance: Provide security expertise and guidance to clients, helping them make informed decisions regarding the security of their programs.
- Briefings & Deliverables: Create and present written reports, whitepapers, and senior leader briefings to inform stakeholders about program protection efforts and progress.
- Training & Education: Conduct OPSEC training and indoctrination briefings to ensure stakeholders understand and comply with security protocols.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following basic requirements:
- 8+ years of experience working in the DoD or intelligence community, with specific experience in SCI or SAP environments.
- Experience in security planning, including the development of security plans, OPSEC plans, and Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
- Proven ability to draft program protection plans and deliver security briefings to senior leaders.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
- High School diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Ability to obtain a Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification within 6 months of start date.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Leadership Skills: Ability to independently manage and lead multiple security efforts simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex security issues in an understandable and actionable format.
- Security Certifications: Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
